Home & Tuhi

Home is the first thing you see when you open Storage Studio. It's built to answer one question instantly — am I OK on space, and if not, what do I do? — in plain English, with one tap to put things right.

The verdict

A single line at the top tells you where you stand: "Your Mac has plenty of space", or a clear nudge if it's getting tight. No percentages to interpret, no dashboards to decode.

The Tuhi Ask box

Right below the verdict is the Tuhi Ask box, powered by Apple Intelligence. Type a question — "what's using all my space?", "how do I sync to my S3 account?", "is everything OK?" — and Tuhi answers from your Mac's real storage and points you to the right screen. Run Tuhi

The big Run Tuhi button is the one-tap way to free up space. It clears caches and rarely-used files, reclaims old local backups, and keeps your cloud files online-only — all on its own, with live progress. Live status and stats

  • A live status line shows what's happening right now in plain

language ("All systems normal", "Tuhi running…").

  • Storage gauges for your Mac and your external drive show free

space at a glance.

  • At-a-glance stats — last clean-up, next clean-up, total freed

all-time, and how many automatic rules are active.

  • A storage-over-time chart shows how your free space has trended.

A strip of quick links opens the deeper tools when you want them — Big Apps, What's Using Space, Data Parking, Data Transfers, and Usage Over Time.

The top bar

  • Home / Apps tabs switch between this view and the

Apps window.

  • A More menu opens everything else — Data Transfers, Local

Snapshots, Preferences, and the rest.

  • An editable keyboard-shortcut keycap lets you set the shortcut

that summons the Apps grid from anywhere (default ⌃Space).

Full Disk Access prompt

If Storage Studio doesn't yet have Full Disk Access, Home shows a banner with a Grant Access button. Tapping it walks you straight to the right place in System Settings — without it, the app can't see or move most of your files. See Install & first launch for the details.
