Manage your subscription

Storage Studio doesn't store your payment details — Stripe does. All subscription management happens in the Stripe Customer Portal.

Open the portal

Two ways:

  • From the app: Preferences → License → Manage in Stripe.
  • From any Stripe receipt email: the Manage subscription link.

The portal is operated by Stripe and authenticates via a one-time email link. We don't see your portal session.

What you can do in the portal

  • Cancel. Stops future charges. Access continues until the end

of the current paid period.

  • Update payment method. Switch cards, update billing address.
  • Download invoices. Every charge has a downloadable PDF

invoice/receipt with full VAT/GST breakdown.

  • Switch plan. Cancel the current plan and start a different

one. We don't pro-rate refunds for the cancelled period.

What we do automatically

When Stripe tells our backend (via webhook) that your subscription ended, was cancelled, or had a failed payment, the next license heartbeat from your Mac reflects that. The app may show a status banner asking you to renew, but it won't lock you out mid-period.

What happens after cancellation

Your locally stored files are not touched. Storage Studio is a manager, not a vault — cancelling stops automated tier-policy sweeps but leaves your file layout exactly as it is. You can re-activate later by purchasing again.
